July 23, 2017: Seventh Sunday after Pentecost

July 23, 2017

King of Glory Lutheran Church is committed to Connecting to God and His People, Growing in Faith and Love and Living through Service and Sharing, that ALL may know the love of Jesus.

Today in his sermon Pastor Bill Harmon’s focus was on our reading from Matthew and the Parable of Weed.  Jesus message at that time and still today is the same.  We will always be surrounded by the weeds, the distractions and temptations of this world, but we are to keep our focus on Jesus, his love, what he has already done for us and that we are to do likewise for others and the weeds will be dealt with by Him at the proper time.

First Reading: Isaiah 44:6-8

Second Reading: Romans 8:18-27

Holy Gospel: Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43
