June 18, 2017: Second Sunday after Pentecost

June 18, 2017

King of Glory Lutheran Church is committed to Connecting to God and His People, Growing in Faith and Love and Living through Service and Sharing, that ALL may know the love of Jesus.

Today we had a special call for more volunteers to assist us in our partnering ministry with 3eRestoration and their efforts to end homelessness and improve the quality of life for our friends who face great barriers to any future success on their own.  Pastor Bill Harmon message today reminded us that in God’s eyes we are all equal and so as Christian believers fully aware of our sinful nature yet covered by the grace and loving mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, should we not be eager to extend that same love, mercy, and hope to others who are hurting and who have yet to learn of the Savior, Jesus Christ, that had loved us so unconditionally.  We can exist alone, but we can only experience life through our relationship with Jesus Christ and with our relationships with our brothers and sisters through Jesus Christ.

First Reading: Genesis 19:2-8

Second Reading: Romans 5:6-15

Holy Gospel: Luke 15:11-32
